Early Hesong red bean soup
Ms. Yu-he Ciou-Peng, the founder of Nougot, opened a store named “Dahesong Nougot” at 99, Boai Road, Taipei City in 1956 and in 1983, Mr. Yi-rong Ciou and his wife Ms. Cuei-na Zeng introduced the Salico wedding cake. In light of the fact that the existence of Salico was attributed to Dahesong, the two were officially combined into one in 1985 and Nougot and the wedding cake were integrated. Thanks to the solid foundation that Ms. Yu-he Ciou-Peng laid, Nougot is able to be continued to date and presented in front of everyone. To pass down the concept of “being thankful for what you have”, the history of our company and the resilient and diligent Hakka culture are displayed in the museum. It is hoped that the museum can add to the wisdom of its visitors and continue the filial virtue and achieve its ultimate goal of working toward the best of the society.
Taiwan Nougot Museum
Taiwan Nougot Museum displays the production process and history of Nougot. Its interiors themselves look like the Taiwan society in the old times with the early grocery stores and tricycles. Ancient engagement and wedding supplies are also displayed in the museum. In addition, customs associated with a Chinese wedding are introduced to modern couples who are simplicity-oriented with everything. General Manager Mr. Yi-rong Ciou especially hired an expert to think through the layout in the museum as to where to put each piece of the customs and collectibles he gathered domestically and internationally, such as the carriage, wardrobe, and water pump. It is Mr. Yi-rong Ciou’s hope that the museum can awaken the traditional Chinese virtues, such as “being thankful for what you have” and “filiality”, inside young people of the e generation that have been missing. For this reason, the “Filial Boulevard” was planned to remind people that “filiality is the cornerstone for every good deed” through display of the historical evolution.
General Manager Yi-rong Ciou also indicates that besides the museum, visitors can see for themselves the production flow for wedding cakes in the company and the cleanness and automation of the production environment. This enables people to know the difficulty behind a business operation. This educational and reminiscent humanity trip takes only one day to complete. The tourism value is sure to mount.
In the future, Cougar Tripod Food Enterprises will continue to grow with every one in compliance with its cultural, serving, and charitable business operation concepts.
